Editorial standards
We publish the rules we operate under so you can hold us to them.
Who can be listed
Every clinic, surgeon, doctor and digital provider is verified against the relevant UK register at onboarding (GMC, GDC, CQC, NMC, GPhC, HCPC, Save Face, JCCP) and re-verified on a rolling basis. We do not list providers we cannot verify.
How reviews work
Reviews are pulled from Trustpilot, Google, Doctify, RealSelf, Save Face, WhatClinic, Treatwell and clinic-specific sources. We normalise them into a single aggregated score with the underlying breakdown shown. Every review on the source platform is preserved; nothing is hidden. Our AI summary is generated independently for each procedure category and is updated when new reviews appear.
Promoted placements
Verified providers can pay for promoted placement. These slots are clearly labelled and never override the AI's clinical reasoning. Providers cannot pay to remove negative information.
How the AI is instructed
The AI consultant is built on Anthropic's Claude with a system prompt that explicitly prioritises your wellbeing over conversion, cites verified credentials and reviews, and is instructed to flag mental-health concerns, body dysmorphia signals and unrealistic expectations rather than reinforcing them. It does not diagnose; it interprets and orients.
Regulatory action
Where a clinic has been the subject of CQC criticism, ASA rulings, register suspensions or court judgments, we surface that on the profile. We do not delete history.
Removal requests
Listings may originate from public records. If you believe a listing is wrong or shouldn't exist, use the takedown form. We respond within 7 business days.
